At our next A Breakfast with… we’re delighted to welcome Val King as our Guest Speaker.  Her talk will be:  “Business as a Force for Good – Why?  How?”

Like so many business leaders, Val believes there’s a lot more to business than making money; in her talk she’ll explain why this is, and how, as we strive to put Business as a Force for Good into practice.

She’s already seen how a values-based culture has helped her business.   Her team are all engaged with the values they’ve established, along with a set of behaviours attached to each one.  It’s developed better team spirit and helped set an expectation of performance & conduct within different roles. 

She links this to better mental health and well-being amongst her colleagues, something she is very passionate about.

Why is this good for business?  Business is always challenging, and this can help get more from the roller-coaster ride!   She’ll share practical tips on how to help your team work better and more happily together.  We like that J

Val King is Managing Director and co-owner of the Rooflight Company – a design and manufacturing business whose products improve the quality of top light in residences and buildings across the UK.  Based in Shipton-under-Wychwood, the Rooflight Company has 75 people involved in design, production, operations, sales and marketing. She is also a volunteer mentor for Jennings Business Mentors, specialising in working with local charity leaders.
